The Ascension of Jesus Christ
“So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God” (Mark 16:19).
But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. Since that time, He waits for His enemies to be made a footstool for His feet, because by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being sanctified” (Hebrews 10:12-14).
The Pentecost Celebration
The Lord Jesus pours His Holy Spirit on God's disciples as they pray on the day of Pentecost.
"When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly, a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from Heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw tongues like flames of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them" (Acts 2: 1-4).
