Statement Of Faith

GOD

We believe in God, the Father, God, The Son Jesus, and God The Holy Spirit. We Believe God Is One in Three Persons and Three Persons in One: the Trinity.

God’s Gender

Although God is Spirit, with no physical body like humans, He introduces Himself as He, the Everlasting Father (not Mother) and the Everlasting Son Of God (not the Everlasting daughter of God), indicating a Heaven-free from marriage, procreation, female angels, or any sexual characteristics. This is what we believe. Therefore, God is He, and we all know what that means. He is Spirit. He has always referred to Himself as ‘He,’ not ‘She or it.’ Christ came to earth as God in the human flesh, and once born in the flesh, He was called The Son Of Man, not the daughter of man. After He resurrected, He regained His full Spiritual Body: God.

God’s identity is evident. The Lord could have introduced Himself to humans as anything else He wanted, but He did it as ‘He,’ and we should respect it.

“I Am He” (John 18:6).

“Our Father who is in Heaven…” (Matthew 6:9-13).

Not ‘Our Mother who is in Heaven.’

“And now, Father, glorify me in Your own presence with the glory that I had with You before the world began” (John 17:5.)

But He never said  ‘and Now, Mother, glorify Me in your own presence’.

The Gifts Of The Holy Spirit

We believe in all the nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit, for they are still active today (1 Corinthians 12:7-11.) However, some of those gifts are misinterpreted by many believers due to not testing the spirits and understanding the Scriptures as it is written.

“Seeing as the nine Gifts are the Holy Spirit’s, and He is eternal, His gifts remain with Him, and He still distributes them to whoever He sees fit even today, according to God’s will. Since we believe that God is the same yesterday, today and forever, He is still with His gifts also, for since it is not yet the end of the churches and believers on this earth, and some of Jesus’s sheep still need to be back in the sheep pen, the Gifts are required to advance the church and build believers. God is always active, so His Gifts are active with Him. They will remain until the Lord discontinues them when He comes again. Let’s not confuse His beautiful gifts with the evil spirits’ counterfeits.” Elise Beatrice.

The Creation

We believe God created male and female and commanded them to multiply and fill the earth. (Genesis 1:27-28).

He created all things, all humans and animals, through His Son Jesus Christ, and without Him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:1-5).

Predestination

We believe the Lord God did not predestine any human for hell. God created no one for hell. Disobedience to God let evil into the world and continues to pollute it with more evil daily.

Everyone determines their destination, Heaven or hell, based on what they choose of their own free will to do and whom between God and satan they choose to obey. As the Scriptures say, God does not want anyone to perish but all to come to repentance so that He can forgive, heal and save them.

“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness, but He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

The Great Lord wouldn’t predestine some people to hell, as some believers claim, and then want everyone to come to repentance. God does not contradict Himself. This is what we believe.

Unity And Harmony

We believe that to live in perfect unity and harmony and be one in love as Christ and His Father are One, we must abandon our ways, genuinely carry our crosses and follow Christ.

“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in Me through their message.  I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in Me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in Us so that the world will believe You sent Me” (John 17:20-21).

Sin

We believe God is against all types of sins, including sexual immorality and sleeping with animals or the same sex. (Leviticus 18:22-23 – Revelation 21:8).

God does not hate any human, but He hates all sins, big or small, and does not tolerate them. He is good. Therefore, He hates evil. He is Love and wants all to be in Heaven with Him.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have Eternal life,” (John 3:16).

Jesus Christ died on the cross for all humans’ sins. He is always willing to forgive everyone and blot out their sins if they genuinely repent and turn from their ways. Nothing is impossible with Him.

Abortion

We believe that life begins at conception. Therefore, aborting a foetus is murdering a tiny human, and murder is a deadly sin in God’s eyes. (Revelation 21:8 – Ezekiel 16:21). We believe God’s moral law in the Old  and New Testament still applies to all today and will always apply until Lord Jesus Comes Again.

God’s Book And Words

We believe God Almighty is the One and only true God, as He declares, and has given all authority in Heaven and on Earth to His Son, Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18). Therefore, He has given all believers one Book: The Holy Bible, by which all must abide, for by it, all humans will be judged on the Last Day.

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil” (2 Corinthians 5:10).

Jesus said, “There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them on the Last Day” (John 12:48).

God was against evil even before the world began. Therefore, He is still against evil today and will always be until that same evil is no more when He comes again. Some traditional rules may become archaic and won’t apply to every culture and generation, but no God’s Word and moral law in the Holy Bible is archaic. God’s words never cease to be active.

“Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear” (Matthew 24:35).

Obedience And Hatred For Evil

We believe obedience to God and hatred for evil are the keys to perfect unity, harmony, love for God and one another, and a great peace beyond human comprehension.

Salvation

We believe salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and is obtained when we’re alive in the body, not physically dead. We believe it matters what we do, for we can lose our salvation by the wrong things we do against God and those around us. We believe if anyone, a believer or disbeliever, dies in their unrepentant sins, they will be lost forever. There is no second chance when dead. However, God gives each person many opportunities when they are still alive to repent and make things right with Him, for He loves them and hates it if they perish. There is only one way to Heaven: through Jesus Christ. Therefore, we agreed with the words below,

Jesus answered, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

Justification

We believe we are justified by works and not by faith alone. (James 2:21-26).

“Having faith in the Lord is expecting Him to do something for us. But obeying Him and doing His will is doing something for Him. The Lord is always doing beautiful things for those who put their trust in Him, for that expresses His LOVE for us and His Father. When He died on the Cross, He did it for us, not for Himself. So, we must also do good things for Him, as that expresses our love for Him and those around us.” Elise Beatrice.

The Repentance

We believe that not all Christians will go to Heaven and that an exception can be made only when individuals turn from their ways, make things right with God and work daily to maintain it.

Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven” (Matthew 7:21).

“No, I say to you; but unless you repent, you will all perish likewise” (Luke 13:3).

“In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents” (Luke 15:10).

“The repentance of sins is beautiful. It is vital for peace, unity, harmony, true love, and a proper relationship with God and our neighbour. It is a ‘must’ for the protection and salvation of our souls. The repentance of sins is an act of obedience to God.”

“Even if we look good on the exterior, the Lord still sees the ugliness within unless we ensure the interior is also clean. Let’s be more concerned about what God thinks of us, not only what people think of us. If what God sees in us is good, all moral ones will find it pleasant. Sin appears attractive to immoral beings, but the truth remains it is sheer ugliness. A sinful person remains what he is, even if the whole world says he is okay. Only genuine repentance brings the Lord to cleanse and makes us new.”

“Sin is not just a matter of the past but also of now and the future and concerns every human without exception until the Lord Jesus comes again and wipes sin from the earth. God put the timeless lessons from the past in the Holy Bible to wake us up in the present so we can obey and be spared from His future righteous wrath.” Elise Beatrice

The Passover

We believe the festival of unleavened bread is vital. Therefore, we celebrate it every year during Easter with the Passover meal and Holy Communion. Read LFAS3 Church’s Booklet to learn why it is so meaningful to us to celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread, though we are not Jews nor reside in Israel.

The Holy Communion

We believe the Baptism, Holy Communion, and the Lord’s Supper are very significant to our Christian faith and journey with Christ. We baptise adults as well as children.

We love taking The Holy Communion, for we believe the Bread and Wine symbolise the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ peeled on the Cross and His Blood shed for our sins. Therefore, each Holy Communion reminds us of what He did for us so that we can live according to His ways and remain loyal and obedient to Him.

The Rapture

We believe in the Post-tribulation Rapture. In 2020, I, Elise Beatrice, read the Book of Revelation attentively, and every inspiration and understanding the Lord gave me pointed to the Post-tribulation rapture as opposed to the pre-tribulation rapture many believe. Christians will still be on earth during the seven years of the tribulation period, including the three-and-a-half years. I trust God’s Holy Spirit guided me with the truth. I will explain this from many angles in the detailed illustrations in the book The Lord inspired to help understand the Book of Revelation. I thank the Lord for it.

Our Practice

We do not just teach; our preachers and teachers must also learn from the Head Teacher, Jesus Christ, and let Him use us. We do not just tell people to repent, we also repent when we do wrong unknowingly.

“No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God” (1 John 3:9).

We do not just reach out and see what others are not doing; we ensure we can already see what we might not be doing in our church and home and begin by fixing ourselves with the guidance of the Lord Jesus before reaching out to help those in the world who cannot see. We regularly examine ourselves and encourage everyone to do it so that we do not spread the yeast of the pharisees, which the Lord hates.

LFAS3 Church is open to everyone willing to abide by the Lord Jesus’ Teachings and Principles, our Statement of Faith and Mission Statement. It is open to everyone who seeks the One True God, everyone in this broken generation who recognises their imperfection and needs the Saviour, Jesus Christ.

We strive to be an obedient Church for the Lord and us all. Therefore, we will not tolerate sins among our members and congregation. The Holy Bible verses below apply to all adults and those old enough to know right from wrong.

“Let him who has done this be removed from among you…” (1 Corinthians 5:1-13).

“As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.” (Titus 3:10-11).

“…If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector” (Matthew 18:15-16).

“I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive” (Romans 16:17-18).

“If anyone does not obey what we say in this letter, take note of that person and have nothing to do with him, that he may be ashamed. Do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother” (2 Thessalonians 3: 14-15).

“Obey your leaders (moral) and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you” (Hebrews 13:17).

“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

“And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will” (2 Timothy 2:24-26).

“Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character” (1 Corinthians 15:33).

“Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed” 1 Corinthians 5:7).

“For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and chastises every son whom He receives” (Hebrews 12:6).

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Loyalty

If God assigns you to our care, you become our responsibility, for we keep watch over your souls and will have to give an account to the Lord, as written in Hebrew 13:17. Therefore, we cannot then accept that you’re with us and also attend other churches at the same time, whose leaders may not teach the same doctrine as Christ taught. This will undo our hard and good work. However, anyone can leave our church if the Lord’s ways and our obedience to Him do not please them. Or if they see, by the Scriptures, we do not remain faithful to the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, or any reason they may have.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life” (Proverbs 9:10-11).

Everything in LFAS3’s website is written by Elise Beatrice; a disciple of Jesus Christ, Apologist, Preacher, with the supervision of God’s Holy Spirit. May the Lord’s peace be with us all. May the Lord helps us all. Amen.
